Yom Kippur Services:
10/8/08 Note new location!

Wednesday, October 8th - 7:00 PM    Kol Nidre
Kol Nidre services will be held at the LDS Church on Wednesday evening

Thursday, October 9th  :
10:00 AM and 4:30 PM (Yitzkor); Adult Education 2:00 PM
Yom Kippur services on Thursday will be held at the Steamboat Christian Center, 821 Dougherty Rd.  Go south on Hwy 40, past Walton Pond Road.  It is the log church on the right, across from the Fairfield Inn.

There will be a morning children’s service and there will be child care available.          

An Oneg will follow the concluding service.  There will be wine, grape juice, challah, apples and honey, and herring to break fast.  Again we apologize that there will not be a community break fast this year, as we do not have adequate accommodations for this.

 

 

Additional Services and Extended Weekend Activities with Rabbi Goldman*:

  • October 10 - 11

    Friday, October 10th:  Erev Shabbat services at the Steamboat Grand     Hotel at 7:00 p.m. An Oneg will follow, graciously hosted by Vicky and Alan Rudolph in honor of their daughter Olivia’s Bat Mitzvah.

    Saturday, October 11th:  Bat Mitzvah of Olivia Rudolph at 10:00 a.m.      at the Steamboat Grand Hotel. The congregation is invited to attend     this service.

  • November 6 - 9

    Friday, November 7:  Erev Shabbat services at the LDS Church at
        7:00 p.m.  A special program for Shabbat B’reisheit will take place.
       
    In addition, we will participate in a memorial reference to the 70th
        anniversary of Kristallnacht, as well as in a prayer
    honoring the
        newly elected president of our country.  An oneg will follow,
       
    graciously hosted by the Rosenthal and Austin families.

    Sunday, November 9:  Special program for this year’s B’Nai Mitzvah
        students.  Hebrew class will begin at 4:30 p.m. at St. Paul’s
        Episcopal Church.  Afterwards, Rabbi Joe and his students will go
        bowling and enjoy a pizza dinner.

    Rabbi Goldman will have pastoral visits and private Hebrew lessons on
    Saturday and Sunday mornings.  He is always available to talk with any of our congregants.  Please contact him at 720/560-8060 if you are interested in doing so.
