Membership
We are committed to a policy of nondiscrimination in our membership and participation so as to involve all individuals and families, regardless of background, financial means, gender, marital status, race, or age, in participating in our congregation. We remain understanding of the needs of those with both traditional and nontraditional Jewish backgrounds. We look to welcome and involve residents of our community as well as guests interested in our congregation.
August 2008
Please join us in our
continuing efforts to maintain and improve our Jewish presence in
Steamboat.
We'll continue to offer monthly Shabbat services and Holiday
celebrations for our mountain family.
We plan to offer a variety of religious and Hebrew educational
opportunities for both children and adults at no additional cost to our
members. Please refer to the
calendar
for the
2008-2009 schedule of events. As always, we are working toward a more
thorough integration of all aspects of our programming and invite your
participation in moving our congregation forward. We welcome your
opinions, help, and support.
To make all of this happen, we need your financial contributions. Your
dues include attendance to the High Holiday Services and all education
programs. Due to new constraints of conducting our High Holiday Service
at Howelsen Hill Olympian Hall we will be requiring paid membership
prior to attendance.
Individual membership:
$200
Couple membership:
$400
Family membership:
$600
High Holiday Non Member:
$100
We welcome everyone and feel it is of the utmost importance that no one
be turned away from participation due to financial constraints. Please
contact Jane Romberg (879-0064) if you would like to set up a payment
plan, or need financial assistance. Membership dues need to be paid by
September 10, 2008. Lastly, remember your membership and additional contributions
are tax deductible.
We look forward to seeing you over the High Holidays, starting with Rosh
Hashanah services on
September 29th, at 7:00 PM at Howelsen Hill Olympian Hall. As a
reminder, if you would like to donate the cost of a High Holiday prayer
book or two for the congregation "In Honor of..." or "In Memory of..."
please indicate so on the membership application form. Thanks for your
assistance!
Sincerely, Har Mishpacha board members:
Al Rosenthal, Linda Liman, Jane Romberg, Bert Halberstadt, Susan
Handloff, Paula Salky, Stacey
