Rabbi Joe Black is Rabbi Emeritus of Temple Emanuel in Denver, Colorado, where he served congregations for decades and previously led communities in Albuquerque and Minneapolis. He is also an award-winning musician and songwriter, nationally recognized for his original Jewish music, having recorded multiple albums and published songbooks, poems, and children’s books distributed through PJ Library. Known for his guitar virtuosity, inspiring lyrics, and engaging performances, Rabbi Black has shared his music and teachings with Jewish communities around the world. His work blends spiritual insight, storytelling, and artistry to create meaningful, accessible experiences for all ages.
