STAND Convening: Just a Symbol?

Tuesday, November 18, 2025 27 Cheshvan 5786

5:00 PM - 6:30 PMSteamboat Springs Middle School

RSVP here!

Join STAND (Steamboat Team to Disrupt Antisemitism and Discrimination) for an important community training and discussion with District Attorney Michael Dougherty, Deputy Regional Director of the ADL Jeremy Shaver, and other community leaders focused on recognizing, responding to, and standing up to hate in our public spaces and online, particularly hate directed toward Jewish individuals and communities. DA Dougherty will also cover some of the changes to the hate crime laws in Colorado and practical tools to fight against antisemitism.

Antisemitism is the oldest form of hate, and it often serves as a smoke signal for other forms of systemic oppression. This convening will explore the rise of hate symbols and hate speech, deepen understanding of their broader societal impact, and equip participants with practical tools to STAND up to hate through education, awareness, and collective action.
